This past month with little Autumn has been the absolute best! I have so enjoyed watching her grow, learn, play, and explore. She is becoming so animated and full of personality. Each day is a delight just knowing that I get to see her and be around her all the time. She is my pride and joy--my greatest blessing. I love you little Autumn!

Milestones & Physical Development:
Walking, almost running, talking, developing finer motor skills like opening my mascara tube! She is everywhere and into everything! In our bathroom are two drawers she is constantly getting into and taking things out. She started to learn how to open my lipstick and mascara so I had to put a stop to it all and put them in toiletry bags. She can get into things with zippers and ziplock seals. A very smart cookie! When she is really tired she'll do the tired dance...run in place and whine until she gets what she wants. Really funny and entertaining to watch! Also when she is tired she gets very hyper and starts walking everywhere and doing silly things. Sometimes she'll lay down and rest for a few seconds, then get back up and continue with her day. She also bends over and puts her head on the floor like she's going to do a summersault. What? So funny. And cute, of course! She likes to try and crawl into her baby stroller and go for rides. She is getting better at throwing balls and is currently trying to bounce the basketball.
Swimming:
She LOVES the water. Probably because we go to 7 Peaks almost every week. She loves splashing, kicking, and playing with floaty toys. At swim lessons she learned how to blow bubbles (still working on it), putting her ear in the water, floating on her back (with my help of course), getting out of the pool on her own (she can hang onto the side by herself), jump back into the water on the count of 3, kick and make small ice cream scoops to get to her splash toy, turn over and make herself into a pancake if she falls over, and kick her feet off the side of the pool. It was fun taking her to swim lessons. It will definitely help me next summer when I will continue working with her on my own.

Eating:
Getting more picky with her food choices. She will not eat baby food anymore (which is good because we ran out). She eats mostly with her fingers and likes to use utensils when we let her but that usually ends up in a bigger mess. She likes eating cheese, turkey, bread, pasta, ice cream, strawberries, and fruit leathers. She got a new tooth! Her top right tooth finally came in and her top left is days away from coming in. That will make 4 teeth once the other one comes in.
Sleeping:
Such an amazing sleeper. Never wakes up in the middle of the night. Goes down so easily. Takes great, long naps. We are really lucky! She likes me to rock her to sleep and read her stories before bed time.
Communication:
Communication:
Saying so many new words now! And picking up on things so quickly. She is able to mimic what we say. Some of the words she is saying: mama, dada, ball, wow, night night, poo-pies (gross I know but I want her to tell me when she has it), bye bye, hi, yummy, Autumn, no, ya. I can't wait for her develop her words and language even more. She picks up on things so quickly! It's so funny to hear her say "no" and shake her head when she does not want something. So cute! I taught her to say her name and one day we were in the car coming back from 7 peaks and she said it really clearly! Like "Audu". She is learning how to share, and starting to get possessive of her toys. My VT baby was over and she had a hard time sharing her stroller. But once she understands she starts giving him things like her goldfish and stuffs it into his mouth. So adorable! She likes to give hugs and kisses to other kids.
Balls, playing outside, dancing, smiling, playing with dolls, tickling my toes, opening and closing lids or jars, playing with other kids, eating noodles, peek a boo with me and dad, playing with books, feeling her belly button, clapping her hands, throwing food, sharing, tickles, milk, goldfish, her new butterfly crib, playing at the splash pad, visiting the aquarium.
Dislikes:
Bananas, diaper rash! and diaper changes, sometimes scared of the dark, getting into her carseat. Sometimes when I'm busy cleaning or cooking and she is not getting attention she will whine and whine until I pick her up or play with her.
Nicknames:
Bubs, Tumns, baby girl, cutie cutie, angel, lover girl.
Most Memorable Moment(s):
Taking Autumn up to Monte Cristo and having her play outside on her own in the dirt and flowers. She just loved it and was so entertained. It is so special taking her up there! Also, taking her swimming and being a part of swim lessons was such a bonding experience for me.
Hardest Part:
Sometimes it's hard to get stuff done around the house, or go run errands knowing I have to put her in and out of her car seat in our 2 door car (which is really hard). Going on dates and getting to the temple has been a challenge but definitely things that we can fix if we plan ahead of time.
Our favorite part:
Our favorite part:
We love being parents to Autumn. She makes our lives so much more worth living. Every day we are so excited to pick her up and get her out of her crib. Sometimes we fight to be the one who is able to get her first! Watching her grow and learn and be active is such a joy!
