Every year during the second weekend of August Michelle's family has their reunion up at Monte Cristo. This year, she was in charge of planning the whole thing. All by herself! Her mom passed away, and her siblings don't really like to come up, so all the stress was put on her. This was after she had already been in charge of girls camp, and a few other church youth camps this summer. Spencer had to work that weekend, but I really still wanted to go up and help. Plus, it would be something fun for Autumn and I to do!
We drove up Friday afternoon and got the car all packed up. It was so tight and packed as high as the ceiling. I'm glad we were able to fit! Friday evening we spent peeling potatoes and mostly just relaxing and hanging out. Christie and her family came up. They made dinner for everyone, which was so nice! Autumn and I slept in the living room. We sure missed Spencer!
On our way up. Those paper towels kept toppling on poor Autumn. Hehe.
Poor little Hayden broke his little arm so he was a gimp all weekend. He did really well trying to figure out everything with just one arm.
I swear these two could be twins!
Autumn is obsessed with swinging! She loves to swing. We do it almost every day. This is a cool little tire swing.
Hope Dorothy. Getting big! Such a cute and sweet little girl.
Friday night. The kids loved playing at the little park.
Autumn loves her grandpa!
These two were SO CUTE playing together in the little house. They kept slamming the door and opening it on each other.
Night time together would have been a disaster. Luckily they slept in their own beds :)
The next morning Autumn and I went for a little walk. She loves to play with those rocks. AND put them in her mouth!
Normally she likes dogs, but this one freaked her out!
Love that precious face
I was put in charge of the craft for all the little kids. We made bracelets, necklaces, and some of the kids made dog tags. Pretty fun!
Greek food. Lamb and other deliciousness!
The pinata hitting did not last very long!
Autumn had so many little dum dums that weekend. There was a ton and she just loved sucking on them. It was too cute to say no!
She got the seahorse pinata hat and looked so adorable carrying it around! If it fell off or we took it off, she'd put it right back on!
Harper Family.
Richard, Autumn, Christie, Marcellus, Denise, Carl, Michelle, Mario, Michaela, Malachi.
Twinners! We bought these a few months before and thought they would be perfect to wear at the reunion. So grateful to have another awesome sister in law!
After the reunion was over we cleaned up and headed home. Excited to see daddy that night! We sure missed him. But had a blast!
