Autumn's blessing day was so perfect. I could not have been happier with how everything went. She looked so beautiful in her dress and all the people that came to see her made me feel so loved. Dustin and Travis flew out just to see the baby blessing which was a miracle in and of itself. Lily, my niece, also flew out and it was a real treat spending a full week with her! I was so excited to make her birth announcement and the picture I chose turned out so great. My friend Erin made it for me and I just love how creative she is. I decided to include the blessing info on it so I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Autumn was 2 months old when we did the blessing, which was actually really perfect because her blessing dress would have been too big for her if we had done it any sooner. We found her dress at Sears Grand in West Jordan. When I saw it I fell in love with it. I liked that it wasn't very long and that it had pink in it. And I found the cute bow at Gardner Village and the shoes at Target. Cute open toed shoes!
We blessed Autumn in Spencer's parent's ward so more people would be able to make it, and they have more room for visiting at their house. Autumn was pretty fussy that morning, not eating very well and so I was a little worried she would be fussy during the blessing. Luckily I had pumped breast milk the night before just in case, so when we got to the church I fed her a whole bottle before the blessing and I made sure she was wearing a bib so she wouldn't get her beautiful dress all milky. As church started I didn't see anyone we had invited and I was a little disappointed (other than immediate family), but then I saw Bishop and Sister Harker walk in and I was so happy! I didn't know they were going to come. It meant so much to have them there. As the 1st counselor began to say that Autumn would be getting blessed today, Autumns binky fell out of her mouth and rolled underneath the seat. Spencer really wanted her to have it in case she started crying since it usually calms her right down. I had to practically crawl underneath the bench in front of me to find it...but alas I got it and all was right with the world. There were several men in the circle to bless Autumn. She is so well loved and I could not believe how much family actually showed up. The microphone would not work but Spencer spoke loud enough that I could hear it and take some notes. The blessing was amazing and beautiful. The main theme of it was love, love for others and love for her. I am so filled with gratitude for this heavenly person who I love more than anything in the world. She is so perfect and I know she is going to lead such an amazing life and will touch so many people. I can already tell just from her sweet demeanor and kind nature. She is truly an angel!
The men in the circle were Spencer, Brandon, Brad, Marcellus, Mario, David, Michael, Dustin, Travis,
Nick , Ben, and probably a few others I can't remember. We sure are blessed to have so many great men in our family!
This beautiful blanket was crocheted by Ruth Ann Harper, our grandma who lives in Australia and is on a mission. It went so perfectly with her dress! Thanks Grandma!

I made her this bracelet for her blessing. Making jewelry is so fun! Her room is decorated with butterflies so I thought it only appropriate to include it in her blessing bracelet. I hope to make a bracelet for her baptism, too :)
